What is the temperature range on Uranus?

The temperature on Uranus varies significantly depending on the location in the atmosphere. Generally, the upper atmosphere of Uranus can reach temperatures as low as -224 degrees Celsius (-371 degrees Fahrenheit), making it one of the coldest places in the solar system.

This extreme chill is due to the planet’s distance from the Sun, as Uranus is the seventh planet in our solar system and orbits at an average distance of about 2.9 billion kilometers (1.8 billion miles). Unlike some other planets, Uranus does not have a significant internal heat source, which contributes to its frigid temperatures.
