An example of mutualism in the tundra biome is the relationship between the Arctic fox and the Arctic hare. The Arctic fox benefits by following the Arctic hare to find food. The hare, in turn, benefits from the fox’s presence as it helps to alert the hare to potential predators. This mutualistic relationship allows both species to survive in the harsh tundra environment.
