Jaguar cubs are born blind and helpless, relying entirely on their mother for care and protection. These adorable little creatures typically weigh around two pounds at birth and are covered in a soft, spotted fur that helps camouflage them in their natural habitat. Mother jaguars are very attentive to their cubs, nursing them for several months before they start to eat solid food. Cubs begin to learn essential survival skills from their mother around the age of three months and will stay with her until they’re about two years old, when they become independent hunters.
