Grasshoppers have a total of five eyes. They possess two large compound eyes that provide a wide field of vision and help them detect movement. In addition to these, grasshoppers have three smaller simple eyes, known as ocelli, positioned on the top of their head. These ocelli are sensitive to light and aid in maintaining balance and orientation.
