The decisive moment came at the Battle of Waterloo, where Napoleon Bonaparte was defeated by the Duke of Wellington and the Prussian forces led by Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher.
Following this defeat, Napoleon was exiled to the island of Saint Helena, marking the end of his rule and the wars that had significantly altered the political landscape of Europe. The coalition’s win not only ended the Napoleonic era but also set the stage for a period of relative peace in Europe known as the Concert of Europe, where major powers attempted to maintain a balance of power and prevent the rise of a single dominant nation.
