The Cologne Cathedral, a renowned Gothic masterpiece in Germany, is the final resting place of the Three Wise Men, also known as the Three Kings or Magi. According to Christian tradition, these wise men traveled from the East to visit the newborn Jesus, bringing gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Their relics were brought to Cologne in the 12th century and have been housed in the cathedral ever since. The Shrine of the Three Kings, a magnificent golden sarcophagus, is one of the most significant and visited sites within the cathedral.
