Queen Elizabeth I, one of England’s most famous monarchs, lived primarily in several royal residences throughout her reign. The most notable of these was the Tower of London, where she was imprisoned before becoming queen. After her coronation, she spent much of her time at Greenwich Palace, her birthplace, and Whitehall Palace, which was the main residence of English monarchs in London.
Elizabeth also frequently stayed at Hampton Court Palace, a favorite of hers, and Richmond Palace, where she eventually passed away in 1603. These palaces were not only her homes but also centers of political power and cultural life during her reign.
