Ospreys, also known as sea hawks or fish eagles, are large birds of prey that primarily feed on fish. However, despite their size and hunting prowess, ospreys do have predators, especially when they are young or vulnerable.

- Great Horned Owls: These owls are known to prey on young ospreys and even adult ospreys if they get the chance. Great horned owls are powerful predators and can take down birds larger than themselves.
- Bald Eagles: Bald eagles are larger and more powerful than ospreys. They sometimes attack ospreys to steal their catch or even prey on young ospreys in the nest.
- Raccoons: Raccoons are opportunistic feeders and can climb trees to raid osprey nests. They primarily target eggs and young ospreys.
