The Suez Canal is bordered by two countries: Egypt and Israel. The canal is located in Egypt and runs through the Isthmus of Suez, connecting the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea. The eastern side of the canal is bordered by the Sinai Peninsula, which is part of Egypt, while the western side is bordered by the African mainland. Israel is located to the northeast of the canal, sharing a border with Egypt in the Sinai region.
