Cuba is part of the continent of North America. Although it is an island nation located in the Caribbean Sea, geographically and politically, it is considered part of North America. The Caribbean region itself is often grouped with North America in terms of continental classification. Cuba is the largest island in the Caribbean and is situated south of the United States and the Bahamas, west of Haiti, and north of Jamaica. Its location places it within the North American continent, despite its cultural and historical ties to the Caribbean.
