Clouds are categorized into different types based on their appearance, height, and the processes that form them. The four main types of clouds are:
- Cumulus Clouds: These clouds are fluffy, white, and resemble cotton balls. They usually indicate fair weather, but they can develop into larger storm clouds if conditions are right.
- Stratus Clouds: Stratus clouds form in uniform layers that cover the sky, often bringing overcast weather. They can produce light rain or drizzle, creating a gray and dreary day.
- Cirrus Clouds: High-altitude clouds, cirrus clouds are thin and wispy. They are composed of ice crystals and often indicate that a change in the weather is coming, signaling fair or sometimes stormy weather ahead.
- Nimbus Clouds: These are rain-bearing clouds and are typically dark and thick. When you hear the term
