Antonio Vivaldi, the renowned Italian Baroque composer, was not married. He was a Catholic priest and took holy orders in 1703. As a priest, he was expected to remain celibate and unmarried. Vivaldi is best known for his violin concertos, particularly The Four Seasons, and his contributions to the development of the concerto form.
