Jamaica is neither part of the Leeward Islands nor the Windward Islands. It is located in the Caribbean Sea but is considered part of the Greater Antilles, which also includes Cuba, Hispaniola (Haiti and the Dominican Republic), and Puerto Rico.
The Leeward Islands and Windward Islands are part of the Lesser Antilles. The Leeward Islands are located to the north, and the Windward Islands are to the south. Jamaica’s geographical position places it west of both these island groups.
