The Tyrannosaurus rex, commonly known as T. rex, was one of the largest carnivorous dinosaurs. On average, a T. rex stood about 12 to 20 feet tall at the hips. When fully upright, it could reach heights of up to 15 to 20 feet. This impressive height allowed the T. rex to dominate its environment and hunt large prey.
The size of T. rex varied depending on its age and gender. Adult T. rex specimens could weigh between 8 to 14 tons, making them not only tall but also incredibly massive. The combination of height, weight, and powerful legs made T. rex a formidable predator during the Late Cretaceous period.
