The right lumbar region is lateral to the epigastric region and is inferior to the hypochondriac region.
To explain further, the human abdomen is divided into nine regions for better anatomical understanding. The right lumbar region is located in the middle section of the abdomen, to the right side of the body. The epigastric region, which is located directly above it, is associated with the area that houses the stomach and is thus considered lateral to the right lumbar region. Furthermore, the hypochondriac region, which lies above the right lumbar region, includes parts of the liver and gallbladder. It serves as a reference point for defining the positioning of the lumbar region below it.
