After Trajan’s death, his adopted successor, Hadrian, took a different approach by consolidating and fortifying the empire’s borders rather than expanding them further. This shift highlighted how the power dynamics of the empire evolved post-Trajan, as Hadrian’s policies contrasted with Trajan’s expansionist strategies.
