Bats are mammals. They belong to the order Chiroptera, which is characterized by their ability to fly, thanks to their specially adapted wings formed by skin stretched between elongated fingers. Like all mammals, bats possess fur, are warm-blooded, and most importantly, they give birth to live young and nurse them with milk produced by the mother.
Amphibians, on the other hand, are a different class of animals that includes frogs, salamanders, and newts. They typically have a life cycle that involves both aquatic and terrestrial stages, starting life as eggs in water and undergoing metamorphosis to become adults. Bats do not share these characteristics, further confirming their classification as mammals.
