Francisco Pizarro sailed on several ships during his expeditions, but the most notable one was the San Antonio.
In 1532, Pizarro led an expedition to conquer the Incan Empire in present-day Peru. The San Antonio was part of his fleet as he sought to explore and claim new territories for Spain. Initially, he sailed on a smaller fleet, but due to various challenges, including mutinies and harsh conditions, he had to rely on fewer ships, with the San Antonio being among them.
The journey was fraught with difficulties, yet it ultimately led to the downfall of the Incan Empire and solidified Pizarro’s place in history as a key figure in the Spanish conquest of South America.
