Bruce Jenner, who is now known as Caitlyn Jenner, won a total of one Olympic gold medal during the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal. He competed in the men’s decathlon and achieved a then-world record score of 8,618 points, which earned him the gold medal and elevated him to international fame.
In addition to his gold medal, Jenner also won a bronze medal in the decathlon at the 1975 Pan American Games prior to his Olympic success. However, it is his gold medal in 1976 that is the most recognized achievement in his athletic career.
