Cheetahs, being apex predators, have very few natural enemies. However, they can be threatened by larger predators such as lions and hyenas, who may not necessarily eat them but could kill them to eliminate competition for food. In rare cases, even male cheetahs can be aggressive towards females and their cubs.
Additionally, cheetah cubs are particularly vulnerable to predation by various carnivores, including birds of prey and larger mammals. As they grow and become more independent, their risk of being preyed upon decreases significantly. Ultimately, while adult cheetahs are not commonly hunted, their young ones face more danger from other wildlife in their habitat.
