Mexico shares its borders with three countries:
- United States to the north.
- Guatemala to the south.
- Belize to the southeast.
These borders are defined by natural features such as rivers and mountains, as well as man-made markers. The border with the United States is the longest, stretching approximately 3,145 kilometers (1,954 miles). The borders with Guatemala and Belize are much shorter, with the Guatemala border being about 958 kilometers (595 miles) and the Belize border around 250 kilometers (155 miles).
