The Pacific Ocean is located between the continents of Asia and Australia to the west, and the Americas to the east. It stretches from the Arctic Ocean in the north to the Southern Ocean in the south. The Pacific Ocean is the largest and deepest ocean on Earth, covering more than 63 million square miles.
It is bounded by the Bering Strait in the north, which connects it to the Arctic Ocean, and by the Drake Passage in the south, which connects it to the Atlantic Ocean. The Pacific Ocean is also home to numerous islands, including the Hawaiian Islands, the Galápagos Islands, and the Philippines.
