The Christian religion is approximately 2,000 years old. It began in the 1st century AD, following the teachings of Jesus Christ. Jesus was born around 4 BC and began his ministry around 30 AD. His crucifixion and resurrection are central events in Christianity, and these events are believed to have occurred around 30-33 AD.
After Jesus’ death, his followers, known as the Apostles, spread his teachings. The Apostle Paul played a significant role in spreading Christianity throughout the Roman Empire. By the 4th century, Christianity had become the dominant religion in the Roman Empire, especially after Emperor Constantine converted to Christianity and issued the Edict of Milan in 313 AD, which granted religious tolerance to Christians.
Over the centuries, Christianity has evolved into various denominations, including Roman Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy, and Protestantism. Despite these divisions, the core beliefs of Christianity remain centered on the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
